IP Inside-Out Spaghetti Pie


4 oz. dried spaghetti

1 lb. lean ground beef

12 oz. evaporated milk

3/4 cup fine bread crumbs

1 small onion, chopped (1/3 cup)

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tsp Italian seasoning 

1 tbsp butter

1 egg, lightly beaten 

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

16 oz pizza sauce

Fresh basil or parley (optional)



Add 4 oz. pasta to the pot with 1 cup water, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tbsp olive oil and set on manual for 3 minutes and do a QR and remove and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine evaporated milk, bread crumbs,onion,salt, Italian seasoning and pepper,add ground beef and mix well. Lightly press mixture evenly onto the bottom and up the sides of a ungreased  7" x  3" pan cover pan with foil and place on trivet,set pot on manual for 15 minutes and do a 10 minute NPR. carefully drain fat.

Now drain cooked spaghetti and return to pot and add butter and stir until melted set to saute just to melt butter only. add egg and Parmesan cheese until coated.

Spread half of the pizza sauce over the meat and top with 1/2 mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cheddar cheese then spaghetti mixture. top the remaining sauce and cheese. 

Place pan back in pot on a trivet and set pot to Manual for 5 minutes and do a 5 minute NPR.

Place in the oven at 350 for a few minutes just to brown.
